Plants Need Love

Saying Good Bye To Evie

“Leave No One Behind.” - It’s easy to live location independent with a child. With animals or plants it is more challenging. It sure is possible, if you are willing to make adjustments. It always depends on what you are willing to do or in some cases what you are willing to give up.

Malia, Starkitty and Evie

A few month ago, a lady at the market in Vilcabamba, begged me to buy a plant from her. Malia chose and named her Evie. As Evie wouldn’t enjoy coming with us on our next mission, it was essential to find a loving place for her while we are gone.

Sarita is not only helping people, she also is willing to give lots of love to Evie. I loved to watch when Malia gave instruction to Sarita: “Evie need lots of love, friends, sun and water.”

They discussed the perfect spot for her and Sarita promised to take good care.

Good Bye Evie.

“It is not about how often we fall, it is about how graceful we get back up. And even if there is nothing graceful at all, just getting up again is a huge success.”
